Ethan is a unique movement specialist with a background in Pilates, advanced yoga, and physical therapy.

Ethan’s number one goal is to help people feel better by enhancing their overall strength, flexibility, range of motion and balance by analyzing their movements and potential to improve.

Experienced working with dancers, athletes, post physical therapy patients, pre/post-natal and of course anyone who feels stressed out, overworked or out of shape.

Victoria Sorge

PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Victoria is originally trained in ballet and theatre dance & completed the Professional semester at Broadway Dance Center in New York City.

Victorias did her pilates training at the well known “balanced body” program. In her pilates instruction, she is dedicated to Joseph Pilates orientation to fitness. She works to improve clients strength while providing improvement in balance and agility.

Victoria is passionate about applying the correct techniques and focus for her clients in sessions. Using the breath and working with each persons particular body type Victoria designs a program for your particular needs and goals.

Katy Baker

PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Katy was a division I lacrosse player in college who had a career in mobile technology in NYC until developing chronic pain. She found pilates after giving birth to her first child in 2015 and was amazed by the changes in body and mind that came with dedication to the practice. She has a Classical Mat Certification through A-Line pilates in Brooklyn and is reformer certified through Polestar Pilates.

Kayty Turpin

PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Kayty Turpin graduated from Lindenwood University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design. Having an eye for detail drew her to Pilates which she has practiced for over 17 years. Kayty completed her Comprehensive Pilates Certification at Core Pilates NYC. In addition, she was also certified in Pre/Postnatal Pilates, Tower, Jumpboard and Advanced Mat.

Kayty has trained with and taken workshops by Blossom Leilani Crawford, Bob Leikens, Lesly Levy, Deborah Lessen, and Cary Regan. Aside from Pilates, Kayty enjoys reading, attending the ballet, and working out. As a self described ‘Pilates Addict’, she is devoted to helping her clients achieve greatness through the power of the Pilates method

Morgan Bryant

GUEST INSTRUCTOR

Morgan is a Pilates instructor, movement enthusiast, and performer from New Jersey. In addition to attaining a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, she attained a 500 hour comprehensive Pilates certification.  With over  6 years, and counting,  of teaching experience she continues to educate herself on ways to better serve the masses through Pilates. Using the core foundations of Pilates, attending workshops and indulging in other movement methods (dance, yoga, TRX, strength training, aerial, Klein, and more), she has been able to enrich the lives through wellness. Her knowledge has afforded her to teach nationally as well as internationally.

Welcome to Riverdale Pilates , where mind-body wellness takes center stage. Founded in 2021, our studio emerged as a passion project of a single psychotherapist amidst the challenges of the pandemic.  

Dr Judy Strauss saw a need and  took it as a mission to provide a personalized Pilates experience in her charming neighborhood in Riverdale, New York.  She  transformed her former psychotherapy office into the elegant gem of a studio you see today. 

Riverdale Pilates’ handpicked instructors are some of the most talented in the New York area. They share the enthusiasm and value of promoting wellbeing through Pilates exercise, under the framework of Joseph Pilates’ Original Intention. From beginners to seasoned practitioners, our studio welcomes all with warm, open arms.
